Ravin Crossbow String & Cable Set for Select R-Series Models

The Ravin Crossbow String and Cable Set is a factory replacement assembly for maintaining compatible Ravin R-Series crossbows. This black set is designed specifically for the Ravin R8, R9, R10, R10X, R15, R20, R29, R29X and LR platforms, making it important to confirm the crossbow model before installation. It replaces the working bowstring and matched cables as a set rather than serving as a universal string for other crossbow designs. Regular inspection and timely replacement of these components are important parts of crossbow maintenance because strings and cables operate under substantial tension whenever the bow is cocked, held and fired. Ravin recommends replacing the string and cables every two years or after 400 shots, whichever occurs first. Actual service needs can also depend on visible wear, use frequency and storage conditions, so the assembly should be inspected before each shooting session. Correct installation requires specialized equipment and careful attention to cable routing, tension and component positioning. Ravin recommends having the work completed by a qualified local pro shop or the Ravin Service Department. If the owner elects to perform the replacement, Ravin specifies that only the Ravin Press should be used and that the press instructions and safety warnings should be read before beginning. This replacement set is intended for archers who need the correct Ravin components for scheduled maintenance or for replacing a worn string-and-cable assembly on one of the listed crossbows. Using the model-specific set helps avoid the fit and setup problems that can occur when strings or cables intended for a different Ravin platform are installed. After installation, the crossbow should be inspected and checked for correct operation before it is returned to hunting, target practice or range use.
