The ALPS OutdoorZ Ambush Sling Pack is a lightweight, purpose-built carry system for mobile turkey hunters who want organized access to calls and essential field gear without wearing a full-size backpack. This exact version is finished in Mossy Oak New Bottomland camouflage and measures 12 inches high by 10.5 inches wide by 2.5 inches deep while weighing 1 pound. Its single-shoulder layout uses an ambidextrous, multi-position strap, allowing the pack to be configured for either shoulder and moved around the body when quick access is needed. MOLLE attachment webbing is positioned on both sides so compatible accessories can be arranged to suit the hunter, including the adjustable ThermaCELL accessory pocket. Inside, mesh pockets help separate smaller items, while dedicated storage is provided for common turkey-calling equipment. The slate-call area is sized to carry two slate calls and three strikers, and a quiet pocket helps secure a box call. Shell loops on the shoulder strap keep ammunition within reach, and an exterior zippered mesh pocket offers another visible storage location for compact essentials. The compact profile and specialized organization make the Ambush a practical choice for run-and-gun turkey hunting, where mobility and efficient gear access matter more than carrying large loads. It can also pair with a separate low-profile seat when a hunt alternates between moving and waiting. This Mossy Oak New Bottomland version does not include the removable protective diaphragm-call pocket, so users should plan storage for diaphragm calls accordingly. The result is a streamlined sling pack designed around turkey-hunting tools, adaptable carry and a compact one-pound format.
