The Browning Back Country Medium Fixed Blade Knife is a practical field tool sized for hunters and outdoor users who need a capable cutting edge without carrying an oversized knife. This exact version measures 7.75 inches overall and uses a 3.5-inch modified drop-point blade, providing a useful balance between cutting control and working reach. Its blade is made from D2 tool steel and protected by a smoked-bronze ceramic coating. The drop-point profile offers a broad cutting belly and a controllable point suitable for field-dressing tasks, general camp cutting, and other routine outdoor work. Full-tang construction extends the steel through the handle, creating a continuous foundation from the blade to the end of the grip. OD green G-10 handle scales provide a textured gripping surface and can be cleaned after use in the field. Grooves along the blade spine give the thumb a defined contact area when additional control is needed, while the opening at the end of the handle allows a lanyard to be attached if desired. This medium-size Back Country model includes a matching OD green Kydex sheath that covers the blade during storage and transport. The sheath is configured for belt carry and incorporates slots that can also be used when securing it to compatible pack webbing or other mounting points. The restrained OD green and smoked-bronze color combination gives this variant a low-profile outdoor appearance while keeping its materials and construction focused on practical use. Whether carried during a big-game hunt, packed for a camping trip, or kept with other field equipment, this Browning fixed blade offers a straightforward combination of manageable dimensions, full-tang strength, a versatile blade shape, and a protective molded sheath.
