The Dakota Decoy X-Treme Painted Head Packable Mallard Floaters are designed for waterfowl hunters who need a realistic mallard spread that is easier to carry into remote hunting locations. This six-piece set includes three drake decoys and three hen decoys, providing an even mix for building a compact hunting spread or adding mallards to an existing collection. Each floating decoy measures 17 inches long and features carefully formed body and feather details that create a recognizable mallard profile on the water. The drakes have painted heads rather than flocked heads, identifying this set as the painted-head configuration. These floaters are constructed from 100% soft EVA plastic, allowing the bodies to collapse for more convenient packing and transportation. That packable construction is particularly useful when hunting areas reached on foot, where rigid decoys can take up considerable room in a bag or make a larger spread cumbersome to carry. Despite their soft, collapsible bodies, the decoys are configured as functional water floaters rather than field or full-body decoys. A weighted keel beneath each decoy helps it remain properly oriented when deployed and supplies the stable floating configuration needed for use in a waterfowl spread. The complete six-pack has a published product weight of 9 pounds, keeping the set manageable for walk-in hunts while still providing six full-size mallard decoys. The balanced assortment of drakes and hens can be hunted as a small standalone group or mixed with other floating duck decoys to expand a larger setup. For hunters who value portability but still want full-size, species-specific mallard floaters, this Dakota Decoy X-Treme set offers a practical combination of soft EVA construction, packable bodies, painted detailing and weighted keels in one ready-to-deploy six-pack.
