The Exothermic Technologies Pulsefire Compact is a portable ignited fuel stream torch designed for outdoor tasks such as lighting bonfires from a distance and spot-treating weeds or brush where flame use is lawful and conditions permit. Its compact configuration measures 16.9 inches long, 3.1 inches wide and 7.3 inches high, with an empty product weight of 2.2 pounds for easier handling and storage than larger torch systems. The onboard, non-pressurized reservoir holds 13 ounces of gasoline and provides approximately 18 seconds of output per fill. Under ideal conditions, the fixed .060-inch solid-stream nozzle delivers a typical reach of 15 feet. When both opposing activation switches are pressed, an electric pump moves fuel through the nozzle while a high-frequency electric spark provides on-demand ignition. A normally closed solenoid valve controls fuel flow when the system is not activated, eliminating the need for a continuously burning pilot flame. Power comes from the included rechargeable four-cell lithium-ion battery pack, which contains four 14500 cells and incorporates USB-C charging.
