The Kershaw Brawler Serrated is an assisted folding pocketknife designed for everyday utility, work tasks and situations where a combination edge provides added versatility. This exact 1990ST configuration pairs a three-inch modified tanto blade with a partially serrated cutting edge, giving the user a plain section for controlled slicing and a serrated section suited to sawing through fibrous materials. The angular tanto profile provides a reinforced point, while the swedge along the spine narrows the blade toward the tip. Its 8Cr13MoV stainless steel construction balances practical cutting performance with straightforward maintenance, and a black-oxide coating complements the all-black appearance while adding a layer of protection to the blade. A flipper starts the assisted-opening action, allowing the blade to deploy quickly with either hand after the user applies manual pressure. Once open, the blade is held in position by a liner lock. The black handle is made from glass-filled nylon to provide a strong, lightweight frame with a textured surface and an angled shape that follows the palm. At 4.1 inches closed and 7.1 inches overall, the Brawler offers a full working grip while remaining compact enough for routine pocket carry. The four-position pocket clip can be configured for right- or left-side carry in either a tip-up or tip-down orientation, making the knife adaptable to individual draw preferences.
