Knives of Alaska Trekker Pronghorn 3.25in Fixed Blade Knife Black

The Knives of Alaska Trekker Pronghorn is a compact fixed-blade hunting knife designed for controlled field-dressing, skinning, and general cutting work around camp. This black SureGrip version pairs a 3.25-inch clip-point blade with an 8.5-inch overall length, giving hunters a practical balance of cutting capability and maneuverability. The narrow, defined point is well suited to careful initial incisions and detail work, while the curved cutting edge provides useful contact for fleshing and skinning tasks. Its blade is made from D2 tool steel and has a subdued tumbled finish that complements the knife’s straightforward field-oriented design. A hardness rating of 59–61 on the Rockwell scale supports dependable edge retention, while the 18–20-degree cutting-edge bevel is intended to provide an effective working edge for game-processing chores. Full-tang construction extends the blade steel through the handle for added strength, and the handle scales are secured with two rivets. The contoured black SureGrip handle incorporates finger grooves and a textured surface to provide positive hand placement and control during precise cuts. Jimping along the upper portion of the blade offers an additional contact point when applying careful thumb pressure. At a published knife weight of 4.5 ounces, the Pronghorn remains easy to carry with other essential hunting equipment. An American-made sheath constructed from vegetable-tanned, oiled split-grain cowhide is included for protected storage and convenient belt carry. Made in the USA, this Trekker Series model is a practical choice for hunters who prefer a traditional fixed blade with a versatile clip-point profile, compact proportions, and a secure black field handle.
