The Warthog V-Sharp A4 is a manual sharpening system designed to help maintain kitchen, hunting, fishing and general-purpose knives without requiring the freehand technique associated with a traditional bench stone. This exact A4 variant has a bronze powder-coated finish over its durable metal frame and rests on a premium rubber base for stability on a counter, workbench or other firm surface. At the center of the system, a vertical blade guide helps the user keep the knife correctly positioned while drawing the blade between two spring-loaded sharpening arms. Because a hone contacts each side of the edge during the stroke, the system works on both bevels at the same time and promotes a balanced, repeatable sharpening process. Four selectable angle positions—15, 20, 25 and 30 degrees—allow the setup to be adapted for a range of blade profiles, from fine specialty and culinary knives to heavier outdoor cutting tools. The included pair of 325-grit natural diamond hones provides the abrasive surface needed to restore and maintain an edge, while the integrated finishing steels are used afterward to refine the edge and remove the burr produced during sharpening. The hones can be repositioned quickly when moving from the sharpening step to finishing. Additional hone options are available separately for users who want other levels of abrasion or polishing. Optional ceramic hones can also be fitted when working with serrated blades. With its fixed-angle layout, simultaneous two-sided action and sturdy freestanding frame, the bronze V-Sharp A4 provides a practical sharpening station for use in the home, workshop, camp or field-preparation area.
