The blend combines peas, vetch and Alyce clover, providing forage with a stated protein content of 25 to 30 percent. Its mixture is designed to handle summer conditions, including heat, periods of limited moisture and substantial grazing pressure, making it a practical option for maintaining productive forage during demanding parts of the growing season. Summer Slam can be planted in well-drained ground ranging from sandy soil to medium-heavy soil. Planting should wait until the soil temperature reaches at least 65 degrees Fahrenheit.
