The Work Sharp Folding Field Sharpener is a compact manual sharpening tool designed to maintain knives and other edged equipment at home, in camp, or while traveling. Its folding configuration places two different abrasive surfaces in one pocket-ready unit, allowing a user to restore an edge and then refine it without carrying a larger sharpening system. The 400-grit diamond plate provides the coarse stage for repairing and sharpening a worn cutting edge. Integrated 20-degree guides help establish and maintain a consistent angle as the blade moves across the plate. On the opposite side, a fine ceramic plate provides the finishing stage, with 25-degree guides positioned for honing and polishing the edge. The ceramic surface can be used without adding water or oil, making the sharpener practical when working away from a bench or workshop. A black glass-filled nylon frame supports the sharpening plates, while the folding design covers and protects the working surfaces during storage and transport. The integrated pocket clip keeps the tool conveniently positioned in a pocket, pack, tackle bag, hunting kit, or vehicle gear compartment. Although optimized for portable knife care, the manufacturer identifies the sharpener as suitable for a broad range of blades and points, including hunting knives, pocket knives, kitchen knives, scissors, garden shears, fishhooks, and broadheads. The preset guides make the sharpening sequence approachable for users who want more angle consistency without setting up a full bench system. At a published product weight of 4.6 ounces, this sharpener provides both edge-repair and finishing capability in a lightweight format suited to everyday carry, camping, hunting, fishing, and general outdoor equipment maintenance.
