The Buck 724 Mustang is a streamlined folding knife built for practical everyday carry at work, around camp, and during routine outdoor activities. This exact version pairs a dark blue anodized aluminum handle with a 3.25-inch drop-point blade made from Buck’s proven 420HC stainless steel. The blade has a stonewashed finish that gives the working surface a subdued appearance and helps make normal signs of use less visually prominent. Its versatile drop-point profile provides a useful balance of tip control and cutting edge for common tasks such as opening packages, cutting cord, preparing kindling, and handling other day-to-day chores. A large thumbhole provides an accessible point for opening the blade, while jimping along the spine offers added contact for controlled cutting. The Mustang uses a mid-lock mechanism to secure the blade in the open position. Its anodized aluminum construction keeps the handle slim and the overall knife weight to 3.2 ounces, making it comfortable to carry without adding unnecessary bulk. When folded, the knife measures 4.25 inches long, giving it a compact footprint that fits naturally into an everyday-carry setup. A removable and reversible deep-carry pocket clip allows the carry arrangement to be adapted to the user’s preference, and the integrated lanyard hole provides another retention or carry option. The clean handle profile, contrasting hardware, and stonewashed blade create a modern interpretation of a traditional Buck lockback folder. Made in the USA, the 724 Mustang combines a familiar stainless-steel blade, a secure folding format, and a lightweight metal handle in a practical configuration suited to customers who want a capable general-purpose pocket knife.
