The CobraTec EDC Scout Button Lock is a compact folding knife configured for everyday carry and routine cutting tasks. This exact version pairs OD green textured Grivory scales with a VG-10 drop-point blade, giving it a practical combination of low carrying weight, secure handling and a versatile blade profile. Its internal structure is stainless steel, while CNC-machined components are used to maintain the close fit required around the pivot and locking mechanism. The button lock provides a straightforward way to release the blade for closing without requiring the user to place a finger directly in the blade path. At 3 ounces, the Scout is light enough for regular pocket carry without sacrificing the internal support of its steel structure. The blade measures 3.125 inches, the handle measures 4.725 inches and the knife has an overall open length of 7.3125 inches. These proportions make it suitable for common daily work such as opening cartons, cutting cord, trimming packaging and handling other controlled utility cuts. The drop-point shape provides a useful balance of belly and tip control, while VG-10 stainless blade steel is selected for dependable cutting performance and edge retention. A textured surface on the Grivory scales adds grip without introducing the weight of a solid metal handle. For carry, CobraTec equips this model with an ambidextrous, tip-up deep-carry pocket clip that can accommodate either left- or right-side placement. The clip positions the knife discreetly in a pocket while keeping it accessible for daily use. An integrated lanyard loop offers another retention or carry option. With its OD green scales, manual folding configuration and button-lock design, this EDC Scout is a practical choice for users who want a lightweight pocket knife with clearly defined dimensions and a general-purpose blade.
