The Kershaw Duster is a compact manual folding knife designed for everyday cutting jobs at home, at work, or while spending time outdoors. Its 2.9-inch modified sheepsfoot blade provides a controlled working edge for opening packages, cutting cordage, trimming material, and handling other routine utility tasks. The blade is made from 8Cr13MoV stainless steel, a practical alloy that can be sharpened without specialized equipment, and its stonewashed finish helps make the marks of regular use less noticeable. A plain edge keeps the full cutting length available for clean, straightforward slicing. The charcoal gray handle is constructed from glass-filled nylon, keeping the knife lightweight while providing a durable structure and a textured surface for a secure hold. A black aluminum backspacer adds contrast and incorporates a lanyard hole for another carry option. The Duster opens manually using its thumb studs, while KVT ball bearings support smooth blade movement without an assisted-opening mechanism. Once deployed, Kershaw’s DuraLock mechanism secures the blade and provides a convenient way to release it while keeping the user’s fingers away from the primary closing path. At 3.85 inches closed and only 2 ounces, the knife fits comfortably into a pocket without adding unnecessary bulk. The reversible deep-carry pocket clip can be configured for left- or right-side tip-up carry, allowing the Duster to ride discreetly and remain readily accessible. Its 6.75-inch open length offers useful cutting capability while preserving the compact proportions expected from an everyday pocketknife. The Duster is a practical choice for users who want a lightweight, uncomplicated folder with a controlled blade profile, smooth manual action, and flexible pocket-carry configuration.
