The Kershaw Turismo is a compact assisted folding knife designed for everyday cutting and convenient pocket carry. Its 2.9-inch leaf-style blade provides a gently curved cutting edge suited to opening packages, cutting cord, breaking down cardboard, and handling other routine tasks. Kershaw uses D2 tool steel hardened to 59–60 HRC for a practical combination of toughness, wear resistance, and edge retention. The blade has a plain edge with a satin finish and sanded flats, giving the knife a clean contrast against its dark handle. The stainless steel handle is protected by a black PVD coating and shaped to keep the knife streamlined in the pocket. A flipper starts the assisted opening action, while bronze phosphor washers support smooth blade movement. Once the blade is fully deployed, the flipper is largely concealed within the handle profile rather than projecting prominently below it. A stainless steel frame lock secures the blade during use with a straightforward, proven locking arrangement. The Turismo also includes a custom backspacer with hexagonal cutouts that complement the knife’s modern styling without changing its practical everyday focus. Its reversible deep-carry pocket clip can be arranged for left- or right-side tip-up carry, allowing the knife to ride lower and more discreetly in a pocket. At 3.9 inches closed and 6.75 inches overall, this model offers useful cutting capability without the bulk of a larger folder. The 0.121-inch-thick blade and stainless steel construction give it a substantial feel, while its published weight of 3.3 ounces keeps it manageable for daily carry. Designed by Kershaw Originals and manufactured in China under Kershaw quality control, the Turismo is a capable choice for users who want an assisted-opening D2 folder in a compact black configuration.
