The LEATHERMAN Skeletool CX in Sandstorm is a streamlined, pocket-size multi-tool designed for everyday carry, outdoor trips, household projects and quick repairs when a full tool kit is not practical. Its skeletonized form keeps the tool portable while retaining seven useful functions: needlenose pliers, regular pliers, wire cutters, hard-wire cutters, a 154CM stainless steel knife, a large bit driver and a combination carabiner and bottle opener. The straight-edge blade provides a versatile cutting surface for opening packages, trimming cord and handling other common tasks, while the locking mechanism holds the blade securely in its working position. Outside-accessible and one-hand-operable features make it possible to reach important functions efficiently without unfolding every part of the tool. The large bit driver works with the included double-ended Phillips #1 and #2 bit and the 1/4-inch and 3/16-inch screwdriver bit, giving the Skeletool CX practical capability for tightening and adjustment work. A second bit can be kept in the integrated handle storage area so it remains organized and ready for use. The removable pocket clip offers secure attachment to a pocket or belt, and the carabiner provides another convenient way to connect the folded tool to compatible gear. Measuring 4 inches when closed and weighing 5 ounces, this Sandstorm model balances useful capability with comfortable portability. The 2.6-inch blade and 1.24-inch-wide frame provide full-size function without the bulk associated with larger multi-tools. This exact version is supplied in box packaging and does not include a sheath, making the pocket clip and carabiner the primary built-in carry options. It is a practical choice for users who want essential pliers, cutting and driver functions in one compact tool rather than carrying numerous separate implements.
