Patternmaster Code Black Big Game 12 Gauge Remington Choke Tube

The Patternmaster Code Black Big Game is an extended 12-gauge choke tube made for Remington shotguns using the compatible Rem Choke barrel system. This specialized variant is intended for demanding hunting applications where a dense, consistent pattern and a short shot string are important, including predator hunting, buckshot use where legal and late-season goose hunting. Patternmaster designed the Big Game model around the wad used in 3-1/2-inch shotshells, allowing it to manage heavier field loads while providing full-like pattern performance at distances up to 70 yards. Rather than relying on conventional bore constriction, the tube uses Patternmaster’s internal wad-control design to momentarily manage the wad as the shot charge continues forward. This process is intended to reduce disruption to the pellets and shorten the shot string so more of the payload reaches the target within a tighter interval. The tube has an unported configuration and is manufactured from heat-treated 17-4 hardened stainless steel for the strength required by high-volume and heavy-load shooting. A bronze titanium nitride finish gives the exposed portion its distinctive, subdued appearance while providing a durable outer surface. This exact model is approved by the manufacturer for lead, steel and other nontoxic shot materials, including TSS, making it adaptable to several hunting loads and regulations. Because ammunition, barrel dimensions and individual shotguns can produce different results, hunters should pattern the tube with their selected load before heading into the field. The Code Black Big Game is a practical choice for Remington shotgun owners seeking a purpose-built Patternmaster tube for longer-range applications and larger shot sizes without using a traditionally constricted choke design.
