Patternmaster Code Black Big Game 12 Gauge Choke Tube Benelli/Beretta

The Patternmaster Code Black Big Game is a 12-gauge extended choke tube made for shotguns using the Benelli Crio or Beretta Optima Plus thread system. Intended for demanding big-game and predator hunting applications, this version is designed around the wad used in 3.5-inch shotshells and is suitable for hunters pursuing coyotes, deer where buckshot is legal, or late-season geese. Rather than relying solely on conventional constriction, Patternmaster uses its internal wad-control design to briefly slow the wad as the shot exits the muzzle. This separates the wad from the shot charge and helps produce an even, full-like pattern with a shorter shot string. The manufacturer rates this model for effective pattern performance at ranges up to 70 yards, although every shotgun and ammunition combination should be patterned before hunting to confirm point of impact and pellet distribution. The tube has a non-ported configuration, making it appropriate for heavier hunting loads and situations where a ported choke is not preferred. It is constructed from heat-treated 17-4 hardened stainless steel for durability and finished with a bronze-colored titanium nitride coating. The Code Black Big Game tube is compatible with lead, steel, TSS and other non-toxic shot materials, providing flexibility for different hunting regulations and load preferences. Its extended profile also makes installation and removal more convenient than a flush-fitting tube while clearly identifying the choke at the muzzle. Made in the United States, this exact model combines Patternmaster’s specialized wad-control technology with a corrosion-resistant finish and broad shot-material compatibility. Shooters should verify that their barrel uses the Benelli Crio or Beretta Optima Plus choke interface before installation and follow all shotgun, ammunition and choke-tube instructions.
