The AREA 419 CZ457 1913 Improved Scope Rail is a purpose-built mounting base for CZ 457 rimfire rifles equipped with an 11mm receiver dovetail. This exact configuration incorporates 15 MOA of elevation cant, giving shooters additional adjustment range when setting up an optic for precision rimfire shooting at extended distances. Its continuous 1913 Picatinny-style mounting surface provides room for positioning compatible scope rings, while the extended forward section makes it easier to place an optic farther ahead when needed for proper eye relief. An integrated bubble level at the rear of the base provides a convenient visual reference for checking rifle cant without adding a separate level to the scope tube or rail. AREA 419 machines the one-piece base from T7075 aluminum and applies a Type III black hardcoat anodized finish. Rather than relying on individual set screws pressing directly against the receiver, the mounting system slides onto the rifle’s dovetail and clamps along the rail for consistent engagement. The base adds approximately one-half inch of height above the factory dovetail, an important consideration when selecting scope-ring height and establishing a comfortable cheek position. AREA 419 recommends tightening the clamp screws to 22 inch-pounds, or 2.5 Nm, and includes the necessary wrench for installation. This rail is intended specifically for the CZ 457 and should not be confused with AREA 419 bases made for the earlier CZ 455 or with the company’s alternate 30 MOA and 50 MOA CZ 457 configurations. Made in the USA, the rail combines an optic-mounting platform, elevation bias and a visible leveling reference in a single component designed around the dimensions of the CZ 457 action.
