The Buck Knives 685 BuckLite Max II Large is a practical fixed-blade hunting knife designed for field use, campsite chores, and general outdoor cutting tasks. Its 4-inch drop-point blade is made from 420HC stainless steel, a material selected for its balance of strength, corrosion resistance, edge retention, and straightforward sharpening. The plain cutting edge and versatile drop-point profile make the knife well suited to controlled slicing and detailed work while retaining enough blade depth for common game-processing duties. The blade measures 0.110 inch thick, and the knife has an overall length of 8.875 inches, providing useful reach without becoming cumbersome on a belt or in a hunting pack. Full-tang construction extends the steel through the handle for a solid, dependable structure during demanding use. The black DynaFlex rubber handle is contoured with finger grooves and textured gripping surfaces to promote secure handling and control. A lanyard hole at the end of the handle offers another carrying or retention option when working around camp or in the field. At 4.7 ounces, the BuckLite Max II Large remains light enough for routine carry while providing the stability of a full-size fixed blade. A black, heavy-duty polyester sheath is included to cover the cutting edge and keep the knife readily accessible during a hunt. The sheath incorporates a belt-carry configuration and a retaining closure for practical transport. The knife is made in the USA, while the included sheath is imported. With its uncomplicated fixed-blade design, useful drop-point profile, grippy rubber handle, and protective sheath, this Buck hunting knife is configured as a dependable working tool rather than a display piece.
