The Patternmaster Code Black Big Game choke tube is built for 12-gauge shotguns that use the Benelli/Beretta Mobile choke system. This exact extended, unported configuration is intended for hunters who want to improve the performance of premium buckshot loads when pursuing predators or other big game with a compatible shotgun. Its internal design manages the release of propellant gases and helps separate the wad from the shot charge more quickly, promoting a more uniform and symmetrical pellet pattern. Because individual shotguns and ammunition loads can produce different results, pattern testing with the intended hunting load remains an important part of preparing for the field. Patternmaster manufactures this choke tube in the United States from heat-treated, aircraft-quality 17-4 stainless steel for the strength and durability needed for repeated shotgun use. A non-reflective bronze titanium finish gives the tube its distinctive Code Black appearance while providing added resistance to heat and corrosion. The extended body projects beyond the muzzle, making the tube easier to identify and handle during installation or removal. Always confirm that the shotgun uses the Benelli/Beretta Mobile thread pattern before installation, as similarly named Benelli and Beretta choke systems are not necessarily interchangeable. The firearm must be unloaded with the action open before the choke is installed, removed, inspected, or tightened. Clean the barrel and choke threads, apply suitable choke-tube lubricant, and periodically check the tube for proper tightness. This model is designed specifically for buckshot ammunition and must not be used with shotgun slugs or loads employing FLITECONTROL or other in-flight-separating wad systems. Patternmaster recommends ammunition with velocities below 1550 feet per second for best results.
