Bear Archery Silent Shot 62 AMO Bow String Black/Buckskin

The Bear Archery Silent Shot String is a purpose-built traditional bow string for bows requiring a 62 AMO configuration. This exact variant combines a black and buckskin color scheme with D97 string material, providing a practical replacement or setup option for traditional archers. Before installation, confirm that the bow is marked for a 62 AMO string to ensure the correct fit. The continuous-loop construction is designed for durability and straightforward maintenance while resisting the stretching that can affect brace height and shooting consistency over time. Bear Archery incorporates served-in dampeners at the limb and string areas to help control vibration and reduce the noise produced during the shot. This integrated arrangement keeps the noise-control components positioned on the string without requiring the archer to begin with a basic, undampened replacement string. The combination of low-stretch D97 material and vibration-dampening elements is suited to hunters, recreational shooters and traditional archery enthusiasts who want a quieter, more controlled shooting setup. Its contrasting black and buckskin strands also give the string a classic appearance that complements many traditional recurves and longbows. The Silent Shot is supplied as one bow string and is ready to serve as the central connection between the bow’s limbs when properly installed and adjusted. As with any traditional bow string, brace height and overall setup should be checked after installation according to the bow manufacturer’s guidance. Inspect the string, serving, loops and dampeners regularly, especially before shooting, and replace the string if wear or damage is present. This 62 AMO version is specifically identified for traditional bow use and should not be substituted for another length simply because the color or construction appears similar.
