Bear Archery Take Down 62 AMO Dynaflight 97 Flemish Bow String

The Bear Archery Take Down String is a replacement bow string made specifically for traditional Bear Take Down recurve bows configured to a 62-inch AMO length. This exact black-and-white variant is built from Dynaflight 97 string material and uses a traditional Flemish twist construction, giving owners of compatible Bear equipment a factory-specified option when replacing a worn string or preparing an additional string for their archery gear. The 62 AMO size corresponds with Bear Take Down configurations that produce a 62-inch bow, including the Bear B-length riser paired with #2 Take Down limbs. Because bow-string selection depends on the bow’s designated AMO length rather than the measured end-to-end length of the loose string, archers should confirm that their assembled bow is marked or specified as 62 AMO before installation. The alternating black-and-white strands complement the classic appearance of Bear’s traditional recurves while making this string visually distinct from solid-color replacements. Its Flemish twist layout suits the traditional styling and setup of the Fred Bear Take Down platform, and the Dynaflight 97 construction matches the modern string material used with compatible reinforced Bear limb tips. This product is intended for replacing the string on the appropriate bow configuration; it does not change the bow’s specified length, draw weight, or limb compatibility. Proper installation should be completed with a suitable recurve bow stringer to reduce the chance of twisting or damaging the limbs. After fitting the string, the bow’s brace height and nocking-point position should be checked and adjusted according to the bow manufacturer’s instructions before shooting. Regular inspection for abrasion, damaged strands, or serving wear will help the archer determine when the string should be maintained or replaced. This is the 62 AMO black-and-white Take Down string identified by Bear Archery as model ATD2062.
